If you live in the Pittsburgh Area, especially if you have kids, you know that Idlewild Park is THE BEST summertime place to be. Kurt and I have been going there since we were kids, and ever since my girls were old enough to ride in my lap on a carousel, we've been taking them, too.

I will pick a winner on Saturday, August 6th via random.org. The winner has 24 hours to contact me with their mailing info. If I don't hear from the first person chosen within 24 hours, I will draw for another winner. I was provided with tickets to visit the park, and all of the opinions about Idlewild being awesome are totally my own. Good luck! I hope you win!

I have never been there, and I've lived near Pittsburgh all my life. I guess I'm excited for the Storybook Forest and the Mr. Roger's Neighborhood areas! It looks like so much fun for Elodie at 14 months!

I haven't been there since I was a child. It was actually soooooo long ago that I only have memories because of the photos. We would definitely be most excited to see the Mr.Roger's Neighborhood area because L is CRAZY for trains and would love the trolley.
ReplyDeleteshpiper@gmail.com
Eliot loved this place! His favorite is Storybook Forest, but I have to admit, I always get a little teary on Mr. Rogers trolley.

ReplyDeleteWe love Idlewild as well, it's so big you could easily spend two days there... love the trees and shady areas to relax in between rides. Such a great family-centered place, we learned last year to hold hands while you stand under the huge bucket so it doesn't literally knock you down from the water dumping on your head.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite attraction is the Jungle net thingy combined w/the bestest potato sack slide EVER!!! Thanks Amanda! Jen.ormerod@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy Whole family is excited to visit Idlewild for the first time. I know 21/2 year old Phoebe will love storybook forest and I can't wait to see Mr. Roger's neighborhood. But most Of all I can't wait to hear all the giggles and smiles we are going get from Phoebe that day. emilybusse@verizon.net

My favorite attraction at Idlewild is Story Book Forest. I remember being in Peter's pumpkin as a little girl. I'm anxious to take my little girl (and her big brother) there this summer for the first time. Amy (paul.lang@roadrunner.com)
